1974 - 2014

What started as a small business ran out of a garage is now an industry-leading manufacturer of steel studs, track, and much more. What began as an idea to give contractors everything they might need on a project has led to one of the widest product offerings in the business. This customer focus is why we can't celebrate our 40th Anniversary without saying thank you for your relationship with our business. And the business has come quite a long way.

The First Location

Seattle, WA is our flagship location. At that time, the 50-story Safeco Plaza was Seattle's tallest building, with the Space Needle coming in at a close second. To put that into perspective, there have since been 11 buildings 500 feet or taller constructed in downtown Seattle, many of which feature Steeler products. That first location included the necessary production capabilities to allow for this new company to become competitive in a relatively short period of time. And we haven't looked back (until now).

Steeler Today 

Today, Steeler, Inc. is 13 branches strong, with operations in every major city across the Western U.S. and Canada. Our people are driven, knowledgeable professionals who offer industry-leading customer service and support. We are results-oriented, but know that the means by which you succeed are often as important as success itself. This honesty allows for us to continue building trusting relationships, with the goal of seeing 40 more years of business and beyond.

With technology advancing in the blink of an eye, it's difficult to say what the construction industry will look like in 40 years, but we plan on being there. One of the true rewards in this industry is seeing the hard work of our customers and our team realized in buildings that will stand for generations. It's why we continue to push the envelope. It's how we've persevered through not one but two economic recessions. It's why we have been in business for 40 years.
